Hope Williams

Founder

Hope Williams is a Baltimore‑born civic leader, seasoned C‑suite operations executive, and global development professional with extensive experience managing $2.5M–$25M programs across federal, diplomatic, and community sectors. Hope Williams is a proud Baltimore native and civic leader whose career spans community development, public service, and global diplomacy. She has represented Baltimore’s values on the world stage through her work as a development diplomat in USAID’s Overseas Human Capital Initiatives Center, where she led workforce policies and programs supporting more than 6,700 overseas staff, served in critical roles during USAID’s 2024 Presidential Transition Support Team, and Operation Allies Welcome.

Hope also completed overseas assignments in Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, and a three-year assignment at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. Hope’s earlier career includes serving as Coordinator for A Cleaner-Greener Baltimore, leading community‑focused initiatives in Baltimore. Hope’s foundation in public service—shaped by her work with Congressman Elijah E. Cummings as a Special Assistant—drives her commitment to shared leadership, community voice, and equitable development. This work across economic and workforce development, transportation infrastructure, neighborhood revitalization, and faith‑centered community partnerships grounded her praxis to excel at building coalitions that unite government, nonprofits, anchor institutions, and residents around a common mission, which is essential for institutional trust, equitable development, and cross‑sector collaboration.

With integrity, Hope brings the operational discipline, project management, stakeholder/partnership engagement, strategic communications, public and government affairs experience, and community trust that anchor institutions rely on to advance community impact and inclusive growth for driving sustainable, grant‑funded impact. As a lifelong Baltimorean, Hope remains deeply dedicated to policies and projects that uplift and improve the lives of Baltimore families, institutions, and communities.

Hope holds a B.A. from Hood College and an MBA and Leadership Development Certificate from Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School. She is currently pursuing Lean Six Sigma and Project Management Professional certifications, expected in 2026. A committed civic leader, Hope locally serves a five‑year term as a gubernatorial appointee to the Baltimore City Board of Elections and joined the South Baltimore Gateway Partnership Board for a two-year appointment in January 2026. Hope is a mentor to young women in public service, a caregiver to her mother, and a Deacon at New Shiloh Baptist Church.
